In lesson four in our new look at the Book of Genesis, we examine days three and four of creation. On the third day, Tuesday, God creates earth, separating the earth from the seas. Then the earth is filled with vegetation, plants and trees, all fully mature to sustain animals and man when created three days later. On day four, the stars and the greater and lesser lights are placed in the firmament. The greater light governs the day, the lesser light, the night. We note that no mention is made in Genesis 1, nor in the rest of the Bible, of planets, comets, other suns, galaxies nor the universe. Why? We close with the some of the non-observable, and indefensible, claims of modern cosmology.
